Hey Everyone!

So the world cup is in high gear now. The games officially started last thursday. It´s pretty crazy here. I thought that college or nfl football could get crazy but compared to the world cup it´s like golf. All the streets are painted and have banners and flags haning above the roads. Literally everyone painted their faces, both children and adults. And then there is the noise. During the days when brazil is playing the streets are filled with people going crazy and we can´t get to bed until 2 or 3 in the morning. Oh and we´ve been told that the days when brazil plays, we can´t be on the roads. We have to stay inside the entire day. We´re able to leave for lunch but that´s about it. And then of course about 70 percent of the people here are all drunk too. Everyone is just freaking out. It´s funny because brazil is going to explode if they win the world cup or if they lose. Either way it will be the same. So it´s been a new experience. All the other days it´s pretty calm and were able to go out and work. We´ve been able to find new people to teach and it´s been really cool the people that the Lord has put in our path that are ready to change their lives.
Our mission president is leaving at the end of the month and were going to get a new one. It´ll be interesting the changes he brings.
Other than that things are normal. I love you all.

Love Elder Shannon
