Wow. What a month. The world cup is finally over. Sadly soccer for brazil is not going to be the same for a while. After being destroyed 7 to 1 and then losing to ´´Holanda´´ 3 to 0. It´s been a sad time here. People have been so shocked about what happened. Then Germany went on to win 1-0. Things have been pretty calm here since then which is nice. I did have someone yell at me on the road because he thought I was german. I think he realized the hight difference between us because he quickly walked away. It´s been really cool seeing the world cup here and everyone going crazy during the games and decorating everything. But I´m glad for things to get back to normal. We can begin working again 100% without having to worry about the cup.
This week is the last week of the transfer. We´re all pretty antsy to see where everyone will go. I´m thinking I´ll be going to another area because I´ve been here for 4 and a half months. We´ll see. I´m hoping I´ll go. I like this area but we missionaries somtimes get tired of our areas after a bit of time.
I´ve been gaining a bit of weight also. We have people here who give us free food. So when you´re in an area with very little hills and lots of free food well yeah.
I´ve also been learning a lot from the scriptures. It´s crazy how much you can find and learn when you actually sit down and read them. My comp has about 1 year and 6 months so he has a lot of things to show me and teach me. I´ve found that each page can be like a book of knowledge if you allow it.
Anyways things are going good and I´m excited to see what will happen this next transfer.
